Senior Summer Camp

Stroll along the lake. Listen to the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood. Celebrate Shabbat as the sun sets over the Berkshire mountains. Explore your creative side with arts and crafts. Program Highlights

• Seminars in Jewish history, literature, current events, film, humor and music.
• Trips to Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, summer stock theater, Music Mountain, the Norman Rockwell Museum and other cultural attractions.
• Shabbat services in our glass-walled synagogue.
• Live entertainment, folk dancing, arts and crafts, nature and discussion groups.

Rates and Registration

Rates for 2009 range from $900 to $2295 per person for eleven nights. Prices include all meals and in-camp activities. Prices do not include transportation costs to and from Isabella Freedman or optional trips to local destinations.

Guests must be healthy to attend Senior Summer Camp. You should be able to walk the equivalent of three city blocks and serve yourself at the buffet-style meals. Golf carts will be available for guest use after evening programs only. If you need assistance with mobility, you may bring an aide to accompany you. We offer a 10% discount for aides.

Standard (Daisy, Elm, Kaufman)
Single or double occupancy with shared baths in the hallway.

Semi-Private (Blue Heron, Maple, Cedar)
Single or double occupancy. Two rooms share a bathroom located between them.

Private (Pine)
Single or double occupancy with private baths. Reached by walking up a slight incline.

Deluxe (May, Scheuer)
Both have private baths. May was renovated in 2005, is located furthest from main building and is reached by walking up slight unpaved incline.

Private baths. Newest and most luxurious rooms, located closest to the main building.

Cancellation Policy

Payments made will be refunded in full (less the $100 non-refundable deposit) if you cancel your reservation on or before July 17, 2009. You will owe $250 if you cancel your reservation after July 17, 2009. You will lose 50% of the total fee if you cancel after July 31, 2009. There will be no refunds for cancellations on or after the day the program starts, for late arrivals, or for early departures. This cancellation policy applies even if the cancellation is for medical reasons.

Isabella Freedman reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In the event of such cancellation, you will be given a complete refund. A full transportation refund is available if you cancel at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance. No transportation refund is available with less than 3 days notice.
