The Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality
Fostering growth and transformation on both the individual and global levels for over fifteen years.
The Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality, now in its second year at Isabella Freedman, promotes transformative practices that draw on the wisdom of Jewish tradition and reflect the values and consciousness of our evolving society. Experiential approaches to Jewish learning, ritual and prayer are designed to help us all on our search to cultivate awareness of the Divine presence in all aspects of life.
Unique retreat features, such as silent breakfasts, mishpacha sharing circles and alternative prayer services create an organic sense of community, safe space, and an openhearted, direct experience of the Divine. Guests are gently invited to shed their old habits, defenses and disguises, and discover who they are in this unconditioned moment. The experience of doing this in community can be one of great liberation, joy and lightness.
“This place opened my mind to what healthy, vibrant, connected, spiritual Jewish community can look like. It made me hopeful about my own life, spiritually and otherwise.” – Elat Chayyim retreat participant
