Isabella freedman rests on 450 acres of forested land and lush meadows in the foothills of the southern Berkshires. Our site is nestled at the base of a beautiful forested ridge, which becomes saturated with golden hues every evening during sunset. There are two lakes for boating, fishing, swimming, or simply for contemplation. Well-groomed trails wind around the lakes and stretch into the adjacent forest, connecting after a short distance with the famous Appalachian Trail, which runs from Maine to Georgia.

Each season, the land seems to reinvent itself in a spectacular display of changing beauty. In the spring, the property blooms with wildflowers and our lakes become a haven for migrating birds. As the days grow longer and warmer, the land abounds with life—from butterflies to flowers and our fragrant herb gardens to waterfowl and rabbits and other friendly animals that share the property with us. The fall foliage season brings its own unparalleled beauty as the mountain ridge blazes with reds, oranges, and yellows in a breathtaking display of nature’s grandeur. And with winter, a quiet falls on the land as the evergreens become dusted with snow and a blanket of soft white covers the earth of our country haven.

In every season, Isabella Freedman’s stunning mountain vistas, serene lakes, and miles of forested trails are certain to inspire your senses and offer your spirit a place for renewal.
