We are approximately two hours by car from New York City and three hours from Boston in the Connecticut Berkshires. Presently we are not equipped to help guests set up rideshares. We appreciate your patience as we find a reliable and secure way in which to do this.

MetroNorth (Harlem Line) from New York City to Wassaic, CT

From Grand Central Station at 42nd Street (or Harlem-125th Street), take the MetroNorth Harlem line to the Wassaic train station.  The train ride takes about two hours and ten minutes, and Wassaic is about a 30 minute drive to the retreat center.  Ticket prices range from $13 to $16, one way.  Shuttle and taxi service are available to the retreat center from the train station — see shuttle information below.

Bradley International Airport (BDL) is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes by car to the retreat center. Shuttle and taxi service are available to the retreat center.

Shuttles

To & From the airport or train station

For select retreats, Isabella Freedman offers limited shuttles to and from Wassaic Train Station (trains to New York City, Grand Central Station) and Bradley Airport in Hartford, CT.

To determine availability of shuttles and book a shuttle for your next program

Please or call (800) 398-2630 ext. 4 to speak with our registrar, at least TWO WEEKS prior to the start of your program.

Shuttle reservations are NOT confirmed until payment is received. Costs and shuttle times are listed below.

New Car Seat Policy (as required by NY and CT state laws)

Adults must bring and hook up their own car seat or booster seat for any child under the age of 7 years or under the weight of 60 pounds. Due to state and federal regulations, any child who arrives at Wassaic Train Station or Bradley Airport without the appropriate car seat or booster seat will not be permitted to ride in a Freedman vehicle.

Drop-off cost: $15 one-way. Please note that the 11:30 am shuttle departs prior to the closing circle and the final meal of the retreat. No meal or program refunds are available.

Lakeville Taxi is a reservation service.
Rides messages must be left before 5pm and at least 24 hours in advance.
Credit card information must be provided with your reservation.
Your card will be charged if you cancel a ride with less than 24 hours notice.
