"LEED-ing" the Way in Green Building
Isabella Freedman is committed to incorporating the latest green building technologies into all new
construction. Our site will become a widely recognized model for sustainable design throughout the Jewish
community. We will follow the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
(LEED) guidelines in the rebuilding of our facility. The LEED rating system is the internationally recognized
standard for building green.
Why Build Green?
The inclusion of green building technologies into our new buildings will allow Isabella Freedman to offset
initial construction costs with markedly lower energy usage. Furthermore, the sustainable features of the
site will provide an excellent educational tool for all of our participants, particularly the ADAMAH fellows and
teens, and the students at the Teva Learning Center.
