Projects on the Horizon
Day Programs for Teen Groups
If you run a teen program at a Jewish community center, camp, youth group or Jewish day school, bring your students for a day, or more, of ADAMAH. We offer community building and outdoor educational activities, work on the farm, and Jewish and environmental learning, for three- to eight-hour programs from April through November. Overnight stays are available.

Overnight Programs: The ADAMAH Teen Institute
In the summer of 2004, we ran a hugely successful Teen ADAMAH pilot session. The three-week program for Jewish teens integrates organic agriculture, community building, leadership training and outdoor Jewish communal living. Participants spend their days working on an organic farm and participating in outdoor adventure activities, Jewish study sessions and a variety of projects that foster creative self-expression.
The only thing the ADAMAH Teen Institute lacks is infrastructure. We need to build a dining pavilion and bathhouse to make our beautiful teen village complete. If you are interested in helping to fund these projects, please contact: Shamu Fenyvesi Sadeh at (860) 824-3003 or shamu@isabellafreedman.org.
Beebe Hill / Kaplan Family Farm
In 2008, ADAMAH acquired 15 acres of land adjacent to Isabella Freedman thanks to the generous gift of Myron and Annette Kaplan. Based on our permacultural design we are implementing a ‘Garden of Eden’ interpretive garden, berry crop production, perennial vegetables, pasture land, outdoor classroom space and more. If you are interested in getting involved with or supporting this incredibly exciting project, please contact Shamu Fenyvesi Sadeh at (860) 824-3003 or shamu@isabellafreedman.org.
